Reclaimed oil paintings
The reclaimed materials were used as a surface for the oil paintings. The artist was searching for a textured surface that the paint would pick up on to make a grainy effect.
The fact that these objects were made for domestic spaces and homes add an extra layer of meaning to the work which is centred around family, the home, generational storytelling and histories.
